We all love the game of golf, but sometimes it is just like the saying goes, a good walk spoiled. Here are some ways to enjoy golf more.

1. Do not play the blue tees.
Unless there are at least a 10 handicap or less, why bother to make the golf course even more difficult than it should be. If you are shooting in the 90s or three digits, it makes no sense to take a conscious decision to make the course more difficult. Play the white tees and take the extra level of anxiety out of the equation.

2. Improve your lie
When you view a game of golf for pleasure, there’s no way you should play the strict rules of golf. The average golf course would be at least 6 hours in courses throughout the world. Golfers would return to the tee all day, not before after hitting the ball out of bounds, or looking for any lost ball for 5 minutes. So if we are making the rules to save time, why not bend them to improve your lie, something you can actually enjoy. Play winter rules all the time.

3. Various Games
instead play the same game with your friends; compete in other categories other than scoring. Some examples might be:
Most fairways hit
Least amount of 3 putts
Most putt 1

4. Where is your honor, take it.
You just have to birdie the most difficult (or easiest) hole on the golf course, it’s your tee, you won, take it. Challenge yourself to get another; you will be surprised how often you can have two birdies in a row if you are in fact trying to get two birdies in a row.

5. Lower your expectations.
An if you average golfer to play golf twice a week, if you’re lucky, on top of that, you do not practice much as they should… You can not honestly think that the game is not exactly what it should be. Just enjoy the game itself, not be so hard on yourself when you’re not playing well. Even the professionals are bad days.
